The Adapt Lab is a small, focused clinical team. Patients work with the same providers across visits, which means every plan is informed by the full arc of your history rather than a recycled chart note. Below are the physicians who lead clinical care at The Adapt Lab in Solana Beach, CA.
Dr. Chad Larson is the founder and lead physician at The Adapt Lab. He is a board-certified naturopathic doctor and chiropractor with more than two decades of clinical practice in metabolic and functional medicine.
Dr. Larson holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, where he graduated with honors. He is also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), credentials that shape how The Adapt Lab integrates testing, medical therapy, nutrition, and movement into a single coherent program.
His clinical focus combines naturopathic medicine with advanced laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging. At The Adapt Lab, that translates into services including metabolic health testing, medical weight loss with GLP-1 and dual-receptor peptide therapy, bioidentical hormone balancing, IV nutritional therapy, regenerative injection therapy, chiropractic care, and clinical nutrition counseling.
Dr. Larson stays close to ongoing developments in endocrinology, orthopedics, sports medicine, and environmentally-induced chronic disease. He has been featured on local and national radio and television programs, has lectured to audiences including the U.S. Army Special Forces, executive leadership groups, universities, and healthcare practitioners, and has published in both consumer and professional periodicals. He also serves as an advisor and consultant to specialty laboratories and has collaborated with the research and development teams at nutritional supplement companies.
He is board certified in both naturopathic medicine and chiropractic.
Dr. Francesca Medina is a naturopathic physician at The Adapt Lab. She was drawn to naturopathic medicine after years of seeing the limits of conventional, symptom-by-symptom care. Patients deserve a doctor who looks at the whole person, not a list of complaints to be patched.
That philosophy fits the way The Adapt Lab practices. Dr. Medina works with patients on case-specific plans grounded in lab data and the full clinical picture. Her goal in every visit is for patients to leave with real clarity about what’s happening in their body and what to do about it.
Her clinical interests include the root causes of skin concerns, which often trace back to hormonal and digestive dysfunction rather than the surface symptoms patients first notice. That kind of root-cause work is the connective tissue between her practice and the broader Adapt Lab approach.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Medina collects tropical plants and succulents from local nurseries, cooks her favorite recipes, and treats self-care as a clinical recommendation, not a luxury. Patients hear about it during visits because she practices what she prescribes: real physical health is tied to mental and emotional health, and time for the people and activities you love isn’t optional.
Dr. Medina looks forward to supporting the Solana Beach and North County San Diego community in building healthier lifestyles, one patient at a time.
